When you put your work in the  world,
shining, we all have   another chance to
see the deeper truth about who we are,
     and our  collective, creative spirit.

             Lyne Marshall : artist statement

Within these abstracted landscapes paintings lie elements
of realism which are not specific to any area, but rather the
result of many places I have lived and visited. I am inspired
by the changing face of nature and its intrinsically beautiful
surfaces and elements and I want the viewer to experience

             an
emotional and spiritual connection to the land.

Over the years the changes that occurred in my work
arose from questioning my reason for creating. Travelling
around Australia and Asia, and in particular China and
New Zealand has renewed and refreshed my focus to
associate our human story with a more symbolic use
             of nature's cycles and seasons.

I particulary love the fluid property of acrylic paint which
allows the intentional accidents and implied textures, but
more so I use paint to portray the concept of an
untouched land. I aim to evoke different emotional
responses through the use of contemplative colour and
             design.
