Home again...The NZ workshop / book launch / exhibition was amazing with travel from Tauranga to Wellington in North Island
and Invercargill to Christchurch in the South to finish up the trip.
I have some amazing photographs of Rotorua, and North Island beaches with the Moraki Boulders near Dunedin holding my
special attention. Also worth a mention, the Te Papa National Museum at Wellington! Still working my way through the photos
but here are a few of the lovely Rotorua textures....Lots of inspiration here......

March, April ..and nearly May 2010
Where did the time go? Four workshops, Gympie, Woodgate,
my studio and Melbourne, three exhibitions with book launches -
Gallery 2120 in Brisbane, Changing Perceptions Exhibition in Ipswich and Wilderness Tracts in JPFA in Melbourne...whew!Now I am preparing to go to New Zealand next week to give two
x 2 day workshops at Harrison's Gallery in Tauranga with a mini exhibition and book launch on Thursday 6th May.
The new art studio has produced some good work, all small though. On return from New Zealand it's time to get my teeth in to some really big work and I have some great concepts wanting to happen. I feel it is time to honour my fisherman dad with some work around his boats and also dissect my ideas about the tree as a metaphor and mentor. Now that should be interesting for a landscape painter!!!I am hoping for a clear run in the studio. I havent entered one competition this year. I think that is a blessing......
February 2010
Had a great time at my weekend workshop, despite a noisy room
beside us, and met lots of lovely artists. My new series for the coming Ipswich exhibition in April was a lot of fun producing. Here is a photo of the work..
