A selection of 77 art works by regional
Queensland and Northern N S W artists
were exhibited at the Rockhampton City
Art Gallery between 21 September and
28 October 2007 and the Toowoomba
Regional Art Gallery between 12 October
and 11 Nov. 2007. Of these, 38 artworks
were chosen for Metro Arts in Brisbane
to be displayed in their 4th Floor Gallery
from the 26 November to 7th December.Julie Woodward, Executive Officer of
Flying Arts Inc said Lyne Marshall's
painting Floodseason was selected
by a team of professional judges on
the basis of originality of approach,
innovative use of medium, and
excellence in technical skill.
Floodseason will become part of the
AMRO Morgan's art collection.

February 2007Lyne Marshall won first prize in this award
in January 2007. Let the Rivers Flow 2,
was one of a series of five paintings this size.
The winning painting was then auctioned for
charity and now resides in Brisbane. Another
from this series, Let the Rivers Flow 1, was
selected for the Churchie Emerging Art
Award 2006 and sold on opening night.
